Homelessness Week 2020: Y-Change’s submission to the Inquiry into Homelessness

Homelessness Week 2020: Y-Change’s submission to the Inquiry into Homelessness

“We are made to feel grateful for what we have, even when it’s broken.”

The voices of lived experience are critical to making services more effective. Y-Change’s submission to the Inquiry into Homelessness in Victoria centres the lived experience and expertise of young people.

The Y-Change team provide detail about the causes for most young people who become homeless, including family breakdown, violence, being forced into homelessness following a crisis and other risk factors. They also share 10 recommendations and big ideas for change to our service systems.

You can read their full submission here.
